Join us for our Summer Reading Club 2022
Monday, June 20 - Saturday, August 20
The Summer Reading Program will begin on Monday, June 20th. See either the Adult, Teen, or Children's Reference Desk to get started.
Please note that the Summer Reading Club is open to Central Islip Library card holders only.
Adult Summer Reading Club
FOR AGES 18 & UP
Stop by the Adult Reference Desk or register online for the Adult Summer Reading Club. Rate and review books to be entered into our raffle. Raffles are held weekly, so the more you read, the better your chances of winning some great prizes.
FOR GRADES 7 - 12
Teens can email or stop by the Teen Reference Desk to register for the Teen Summer Reading Club. Teens who read at least 8 books over the summer will be invited our part at Dave & Busters on August 13th! You can read whatever you want, but if you aren't sure what to read, ask a Teen Librarian for recommendations.
Children's Summer Reading Club
FOR CHILDREN BIRTH TO GRADE 6
Pick up your Summer Reading Calendar from the Children's Department and keep track of all the days you read this summer. Each day that you read for at least 30 minutes or more (pre-readers can read with an adult or other reader) you will earn a point that can be used in our Summer Reading Prize store. The more days you read, the more prizes you get to pick! We will also have a grand prize raffle for an extra special prize, so make sure to get reading!
Who can participate?
We have separate challenges for Adults, Teens, and children. All you have to do is visit the appropriate department.
