What should you eat when you have diabetes?

November 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Come meet with representatives of Stony Brook Medicine’s Healthy Libraries Program to learn about diabetic friend diets. The program will focus on carbohydrate, protein and fat distribution while discussing healthy eating guidelines and consumption of healthier fats. We will review weight loss and exercise guidelines for people with pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Individuals with Type 1 diabetes will be encouraged to see an outpatient registered dietician for a more individualized recommendation.
